We teach today’s essential digital life skills
Our mission is to give students with Autism marketable digital age skills and therefore, a greater advantage when pursuing their independence. With our expansive curriculum of lessons and activities, our students start by learning internet basics, like browsing, searching, email and web safety. Each lesson builds on the previous and includes an activity so they can practice their new skill. Students earn Autism Expressed Achievement Badges to reinforce their progress. Autism Expressed students earn a portfolio of necessary digital skills and a platform to showcase their abilities, thoughts and feelings. This all results in greater learning and earning potential and student empowerment, as they pursue post-secondary educational goals and their transition to independence.

Our curriculum
Our team of experts developed a highly synthesized learning system designed to specifically engage students with Autism and allow them to work at their own pace.   Autism Expressed’s curriculum parallels Bloom’s Taxonomy of Cognition and utilizes methods of Applied Behavior Analysis.   The results are increased motivation, resiliency and a greater learning and earning potential.

Students can practice independently and at their own pace.
Students can log in and use Autism Expressed independently. After finishing their video lesson,
students complete an associated activity to unlock a new badge. If they get the answer wrong, the
student is provided a prompt. Video lessons and activities can be viewed and practiced as many times as needed to comprehend content and to earn a badge.

Students can show off how much they are learning to their peers!
We want our students to feel empowered by their new skills. To reinforce their success, each lesson successfully completed will unlock a virtual badge to keep in the student’s library.  Teachers, therapist and facilitators can also use Autism Expressed Achievement Badge stickers and charts to reinforce progress in the classroom.

The Internet is a BIG place and it’s always growing and changing.
Autism Expressed understands how fast things can change in today’s digital landscape. That is why we constantly push out new lessons and activities to our subscribers. As a member of Autism Expressed, you will receive continuing education for all users including lessons on the latest services offered online or the major changes that are made to popular websites. Members also receive additional activities to reinforce and build upon established skills.

Autism Expressed prepares students to use the Internet responsibly.
The safety of our students is our priority. That is why we include an array of learning modules that focus on safety and interacting on the internet appropriately.   These topics are reinforced throughout our curriculum so that students can practice applying what they have learned within our learning system before applying these skill sets independently.
